1st Day of School....

I don't know who is more excited about the first day of school, the kids or me. :) McKinley started 4th grade today and is in Mr. Johnson's classand Dallin is in 1st grade this year and his teacher is Mrs. Christen. I can't believe how big they are getting. Time is just flying by!! They came home from school today, and the first thing out of McKinley's mouth was, "This was the best day of my whole life." They both really like their teachers and are excited for the school year. Here is a picture of the 2 of them, it's proof that they really do like each other. :) They are such good kids and are getting so big. I just love them so much!!

No Bread, Chocolate!!

We were sitting in Church yesterday, and I was trying to get Aiden to fold his arms for the Sacrament Prayer. I asked him to fold his arms and then they would bring us the bread. He kept asking for the bread, and I told him it was coming. When the bread was about 4 rows in front of us, I told him, here comes the bread. And in a rather loud voice, he replied, "No bread, Chocolate!!" He is a boy after my own heart!! :)

Aiden is 2......

Yesterday was Aiden's 2nd Birthday. I cannot believe how fast he is growing up. I wish I could freeze time right now. He is such an amazing little boy. He is so darn cute and so funny!! I am madly in love with my little man!!! It is so awesome to see him growing up, yet at the same time I am a little sad, to see my baby growing up. He is so into tractors and trucks right now, he loves to play in the dirt with his new trucks he got for his birthday. He is talking up a storm, and he is a big helper!! He loves to help his daddy feed and water the cows, and he helps me collect the eggs, even though his favorite part of collecting eggs is throwing them. :) I have to remind him every time, to hold it careful, don't throw it. :) And most of the time he manages to get his egg into the house safely. We had Grandpa and Grandma Peck, and Eric, Shay and their girls come over last night for dinner and cake and ice cream. Here are a couple pictures from his party last night. Happy Birthday little man!!

Tooele County Fair

I just love this time of the year, the heat is nearing an end, the County Fairs start, kids go back to school, all of it signals the coming of fall, which is my all time FAVORITE season of the year. The crisp air, the gorgeous colors of the leaves, snuggling next to a warm fireplace, I just can't think of anything better!! This last weekend was the Tooele County Fair, it is such a fun place to go. It is very small in comparison to many of the other County Fairs, very simple and lots of fun. They had a mechanical bull set up there and both Dallin & McKinley rode it. They did very well for their first time. There were other people standing around watching and they all hollered and cheered for them. I think they even managed to stay on for the "8 second" ride. :)

After the kids rode the bull, we went and looked at some of the animals they had there. Some friends of ours in the ward had pigs there that they were showing and the kids got to sit on them.

After looking at the pigs and the sheep they had there we headed to go look for the cows and chickens of course :), and ended up finding they had a rodeo going on. McKinley & Dallin have been to a rodeo one time before, but they were 3 1/2 and 6 months old, so they didn't remember it. We all had a blast. McKinley informed us that when she grows up she is riding bucking horses and Dallin told us that he is going to ride the bulls. Aiden just loved it all!!! Of course we all know that rodeos go pretty late, and we kept expecting Aiden to crash and burn and fall asleep, but he fought with all his will to stay awake. Every time we asked if he was ready to go night-night, he would look right as us and say "NO". We had a great time and can't wait till next year.

Working on the farm...

We are getting some more dexter cow's in the next few weeks so Buck has been hard at work getting our pasture fenced in for them. Lucky for him, we have 2 fabulous helpers that love to help their daddy. :) I had to photograph a wedding last Tuesday and took McKinley with me so Buck stayed home with the 2 boys and they worked on the fence all day long. They all got into it. :) Dallin is watching over his little brother. They sure love each other alot!! They are best friends!!
